Privacy Policy

Protecting your privacy is very important to us. This privacy policy governs our use of information we may gather from visitors to the CareerSonar website at (the “Site”), and describes how we may collect, use and disclose such information. By using the Site, you agree to this privacy policy.

What Type of Information We Collect

Technical and usage information. Like most website operators, we automatically collect non-personally identifiable information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available as part of their communication. This may include information such as the browser type, referring site and access times. The purpose of collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how visitors use the Site, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding the use of the Site. From time to time, we may release non-personally-identifiable information in aggregated form, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of the Site. We also collect computer generated information such as Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, however we do not use such information to identify our visitors, and do not link the information to personally identifiable information about you.

Personally identifiable information. Certain visitors to the Site choose to interact with it in ways that require us to gather personally identifiable information. The amount and type of information that we gather depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors to provide their email address to allow them to receive scheduled email alerts. Some information we may ask you to provide directly, while certain personally identifiable information is provided by third party social and professional networks you choose to log in to the Site with, such as Facebook or LinkedIn. See a more detailed description of how we work with these third party networks below. You can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent you from accessing the Site or engaging in certain Site-related activities.

Information received from social and professional networks. When you log into the Site using your Facebook or LinkedIn accounts (“your networks”), we receive some of the personal information you provided to your networks. We require this information so that we can create your account (information such as your name, profile picture, work information, friends/connections information, and email address). This information is collected in accordance with your privacy settings in your networks, and in compliance with all relevant policies of those networks.

You may disconnect your CareerSonar account from your networks at any time, by clicking on the “Sign Out” link accessible by clicking on your name or profile picture on the top right corner of every page on the Site. You may also revoke access to each individual network by disabling access to CareerSonar on the network’s website.
